Robert L. Richmond is founder of the firm, which was established in 1975. Mr. Richmond has practiced law since 1970, concentrating predominantly on defense of admiralty, aviation, and personal injury cases.

Mr. Richmond received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in 1965 and his law degree from the University of Oregon in 1970. Between college and law school, he served in the United States Army as a captain in military intelligence. He has also worked as a commercial fisherman in Kodiak, Alaska.

Mr. Richmond has been consistently listed as an Alaska Super Lawyer and in Best Lawyers in America in the area of personal injury defense. He has tried numerous aviation, products, and maritime cases. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and is a Proctor in Admiralty, and is a member of both the FDCC and IADC.
