Like many born and raised Alaskans, Rikki Burns-Riley has a diverse skill set. As an associate of Richmond & Quinn, Ms. Burns-Riley assists commercial AND INDIVIDUAL clients in defending a variety of civil litigation claims, including personal injury, employment, wrongful death, product liability, aviation, and bad faith. She also recognizes the value in attempting to prevent disputes and assessing matters before litigation arises and advises clients about contract drafting and negotiation and insurance coverage.
As a first-generation college graduate, Ms. Burns-Riley obtained two bachelor's degrees in business from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2015. Three years later, she earned her law degree from Willamette University College of Law, with a certificate in Law and Business. After graduating in 2018, Ms. Burns-Riley eagerly returned to her beloved home state. Since then, she has primarily practiced in civil litigation defense.
Ms. Burns-Riley has authored several published works, including the Alaska sections of the Product Liability Desk Reference for the year 2019; the Water Resources Committee Report in the American Bar Association (ABA) publication "Environment, Energy, and Resources Law: The Year in Review" for the years 2020, 2021, and 2022; and the Oil and Gas Committee report" in the ABA publication "Environment, Energy, and Resources Law: The Year in Review" for the years 2021 and 2022.
